Bowling Day for Hornell Children's Home

The last two weeks of the semester are always the busiest. All of the professors seem to dump all of their final projects or tests on us all at the same time and having them due on the same day. One good thing about that though, is that after everything is completed and handed in you receive the largest feeling of accomplishment.

One of the final projects that I am most proud of is the one for my grants and fundraising class. We have had all semester to plan a signature event for a local non-profit agency.  My group chose the Hornell Children's Home to raise money for.  We plan to have a "Bowling Day" at the Maple City Bowling alley in Hornell this Saturday, December 3rd from 1-4.  It costs $12 or $10 plus a minimum of 2 non-perishable food items for 3 hours of bowling including shoes. There will also be a bake sale, arts and crafts, face painting,  pictures with Santa, and a Chinese auction with many donations provided from local businesses. All of the proceeds will be given to the Hornell Children's Home. Please come and have fun. We worked very on hard on the planning of this event and are hoping for a HUGE turnout.

The other group in the class is having a pancake breakfast at the Almond library on Sunday, December 4 from 10-2. Tickets for that event are on sale now. Pre-sale tickets are $5 and at the door they are $7. Children are $3. If you are hungry and looking for a delicious breakfast, join that group at the Almond library.

Thank you for reading. Post again next week. (My last post Frown)
